Shortland

Shortland

Project Shortland is a new build industrial modern design in the Etobicoke neighbourhood of Toronto.

The architectural design strategically amalgamates industrial aesthetics with natural elements through precise material selection and features. Featuring a flat roof, the design embraces an industrial silhouette that aligns with modern architectural principles. The integration of wood soffits serves a dual purpose, introducing warmth to the design while creating a deliberate contrast against industrial materials. Concrete paneling contributes to the industrial theme, providing durability and a contemporary edge to the structure. Vertical wood siding adds a natural element, enhancing the facade with both authenticity and textural variation. Black metal siding and roof details play a crucial role in elevating the overall aesthetic with a sleek and sophisticated appearance, aligning with industrial sensibilities. Arched windows strategically placed break the linear aspects, introducing a unique architectural element. Wood slat siding further establishes a connection with nature, contributing to the design's organic charm. This meticulous fusion of materials and features results in a distinct architectural style that seamlessly blends the raw, urban appeal of industrial design with the inherent warmth and character found in natural elements.
