Etobicoke Modern Prairie

Etobicoke Modern Prairie

Project Etobicoke Modern Prairie draws inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio, embracing a modern prairie design characterized by a distinctive horizontal emphasis.

This effect is achieved through low-pitched roofs with wide eaves that extend outward. Contrasting materials play a key role, with smooth cut stone and painted black wood siding working together to create visual interest and highlight the geometric forms of the building. This strategic use of materials adds both texture and depth to the design. A signature feature of this style is the incorporation of large corner windows, allowing abundant natural light into the interior and providing unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape. Project Etobicoke Modern Prairie pays homage to the timeless principles of natural modern architecture, marrying form, function, and inspiration from one of the architectural greats.
